FuturLab cancels support for PowerWash Simulator VR due to lack of staff and unprofitability of the project

The developer of PowerWash Simulator, FuturLab, has announced that it no longer plans to support the virtual reality version of the game.

Here's What We Know

CEO Kirsty Ridgen noted that the team loves VR, but given the unfilled vacancies in the core team, the priority should be the stability of the studio.

In her Twitter post, Ridgen emphasised that this decision does not exclude the possibility of future VR support. However, the cost of maintaining the VR team is currently higher than the revenue, so merging the teams was a logical step. "I know you're disappointed, but if you were in my shoes, you would have made the same decision," she added.

So this situation once again showed that VR is great fun, but it has problems with engaging people.

We would like to remind you that PowerWash Simulator will receive DLC with Wallace and Gromit.
